Cheri Reid and Kimberly Salameh founded Senior Transition Consulting to fulfill our combined passion for real estate and serving seniors. We are DC metropolitan region natives with strong backgrounds in healthcare, senior services, real estate and customer service. Our team of experts can handle every aspect of your transition, from start to finish. Our mission is to provide an honest and compassionate solution during this overwhelming time.

We sit down with the you and your family members to build a personalized action plan to move to the next level of care. We focus on a holistic approach by gathering information such as: When do you see yourself moving? What are your specific needs? Do you have your next home selected? If so, what do you feel is necessary for you to move as smoothly as possible? Our services to you are completely free of charge.

Make a Cash Offer for Your Home

During our meeting, we will view the property you need to sell and utilize comparable properties in the area to prepare a fair offer. Our goal is to help you get the most money for the property with the least amount of work on your part. There will be no realtor fees, closing costs, repairs, upgrades, appraisal fees, inspections, home showings, clean up or property removal required by you.

Coordinate Resources

During your personal consultation we share our professional, pre-vetted resources so you will receive great care for a smooth transition. Our network of professionals will support all facets: placement agencies, move management, household organizing and purging, elder law attorneys, financial advisors, transition coaches and more. There may be a cost associated with specialty resources.

Move to Your New Home

Once we’ve coordinated with you and the settlement company to close on the house, you set your move-in date to your new home or community. You simply gather your treasures to take with you and we ensure the rest of your belongings are taken care of.

A1: We work with your timeline and it can range from 2-5 weeks depending on several variables we manage.

Q2: Do you accept houses "as-is"?

A2: Yes. This is the key to us being able to support your timely move.

Q3: How do you handle the personal possessions I no longer need or want?

A3: The decision on how to handle depends on what you decide not to take. Donating and upcycling items is the ideal.
